Elves "beat" Northerners. When I say "beat", I mean that SmartSWord gave up when there was still a lot to play for. Most of the game is a lot of advance-and-retreat with few casualties on either end. Towards the end, Northerners put together an attack towards the end of the night, and stay at it during day; then give up before the attack is fully repelled.
