Rule Change - Valid Maps

On Fosprey's demand and, even more important, on Doc Paterson's recommendation, we hereby announce that the latest version of the official maps should be used for ladder games. The reasons for this are:

1) that Doc Paterson is the mapmeister and probably has more knowledge about multiplayer maps a majority in the community, so if he says we should use them instead of the ones found in the stable version then we should.

2) the maps have been updated to be fairer and more well balanced, which has to do with 1 as well.

If you use the stable version you'd probably need to update your official map pack with the fresh one released by Doc. You can do this very easily by just visiting the add-on server from within the game. When doing so you'll see an amazing list with extra content created by the great Wesnoth community. Among this content you'll find and entry called Map Updates by Doc Paterson. That's the one you'd want to install. Once done you're all set for new challenging ladder games.

May the Wose be with you.
